On 20th May Cork Astronomy Club will welcome William O’Mullane (small photo), all the way from Chile’s Rubin Observatory, who will talk to us about this new observatory and the opportunities it presents for citizen science.

A recent article in the Guardian says this state-of-the-art telescope will offer the best view yet of universe.

Public lecture, all welcome.   Full event details here.

On 8 March 2021 during the Covid lockdown we heard from Rubin Observatory’s Amanda Bauer who gave us a remote lecture from Tucson, Arizona.
