Club members Paul and Simone were in Dallas Texas on Monday 8th April to witness the total solar eclipse when for a few minutes the Moon hid the Sun. Messages going back and forth on the Club’s WhatsApp group.
At 8.30pm last night Irish time, 2.30pm CDT for Dallas, Paul posted in WhatsApp “Thank you all for the support. I am still in shock at whole experience.” That odd shadow in the smudgy photo is a plane that flew by during totality captured by Paul .
And what happened in Cork? Well here it was only a partial eclipse, and due to clouds even that was hidden. That lovely sunset photo is what Sue saw at mid eclipse, NW of Musheramore, looking towards Millstreet and Caherbarnagh.
