Observers Group Meeting
April 20 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Members only. This is the last meeting of the 2019/20 Season.
The Observers Group meets once per month with the intention of spending 2 -3 hours observing the skies with a range of optical instruments or just viewing the heavens with our own eyes. Experienced members bring their telescopes and binoculars and willingly share the experience with newer members.
The night starts with a half hour presentation (in the Dan’s Bar) outlining what can be seen in the night sky followed by viewing in a farmer’s field at the top of the hill (which is behind the bar). Make sure you wrap up warm.
When, due to weather, the heavens are not on view pre-prepared talks are given on astronomy subjects instead.
The ladybird is the emblem of the observers group. Why? Come and find out
