At 4:45 a.m. on Monday 21st January 2019, while Cork slept, Cork Astronomy Club members on Patrick’s Hill trained their telescopes on the blood moon during a total eclipse. The next really good lunar eclipse to be seen from Ireland will be in 2028.
Mon 11 March Next Club monthly meeting, “How we got to the moon and back” a talk by Brian MacGabhann of Galway Astronomy Club about the 1969 Apollo 11 mission that landed the first two people on the Moon.
